A peek into our process…
Each issue of the UP has quite a bit of work put in to it. We start with a template drawn out for each month then make copies of the template for each week that month. Then we build individual papers by filling in each page with text and sketches.
You can see some faint blue lines in the image below. The lines are made with a special pencil which does not show up when printed with black ink only. The lines are so handy for larger areas of writing and to help lay out specific sections (as you can see in the Box Game on the image).
Also, can you see six dots of white out on the bottom area of the Box Game too? These six dots were once black dots, as part of the game… until we realized there could potentially be an even match with an even number of boxes! So, the bottom row was removed with a little white-out pen and voila! ~ we have a box game that now has an odd number of potential boxes so that there can be a clear winner.
Little things like this seem to come up all the time. Perhaps its because were still learning the ropes?
Whatever it may be, we are having fun and hope you are enjoying your papers!
Thank you for your support!
